We began as Capattery Inc., developing rGO for energy storage applications. As our material platform matured, its industrial relevance extended well beyond batteries — into concrete, coatings, and polymers. In 2026, we rebranded as Novo Graphene to reflect that broader mandate. Battery materials remain a core vertical. The platform now spans into multiple applications.
Chemical Engineer by training (ICT Mumbai) and systems thinker by practice, Gopi brings a rare combination of deep technical grounding and serial entrepreneurial execution to Novo Graphene. Gopi bootstrapped and scaled ValuD Consulting LLC into a global technology services firm, acquired by JLL — a Fortune 500 company — in 2018. Since then he has built an active portfolio of 50+ companies across energy, materials, and technology in India and the US. Novo Graphene represents the convergence of his engineering foundation and his conviction that graphene belongs in industrial infrastructure. He operates from Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ravindra brings 15+ years of enterprise operations and technology delivery leadership to Novo Graphene’s India operations. He held senior positions at JLL Technologies — including Global Vice President, Customer Delivery and Senior Director, Digital Solution Management — overseeing large-scale programme delivery across global markets. Before JLL, he built the global delivery infrastructure at ValuD Consulting, managing recruitment, capability development, project governance, and quality systems from the ground up. Ravindra is based in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and leads all manufacturing, supply chain, and India operations for Novo Graphene.
Dr. Sunil Peshane is a materials scientist and polymer chemist with doctoral qualifications and a DPATech designation, specialising in coatings, nanotechnology, and advanced materials for energy applications. He serves as PhD Co-Guide at the Department of Chemistry, University of Mumbai — bringing direct academic linkage to Novo Graphene’s university engagement strategy. His research spans polymer systems, nanomaterial characterisation, and surface coatings — spanning three of Novo Graphene’s four application verticals. His industry experience includes central R&D, vendor development, and analytical work in applied industrial settings. Dr. Peshane provides the materials science depth that bridges Novo Graphene’s process development with application-level performance validation.
Novo Graphene is building academic relationships in Maharashtra for independent material characterisation, application research, and collaborative validation. Conversations are active and progressing toward formal agreements.
